Prenatal & Postnatal
Prenatal & Postnatal Therapy in Saskatoon
Pregnancy and the early months after birth are times of immense change—physically, emotionally, and energetically. Prenatal and postnatal massage offers a safe, nurturing way to support your body during this transformation, helping you feel more comfortable, relaxed, and connected to your changing self.
Just like traditional massage, these sessions aim to ease sore muscles, improve circulation, and promote deep relaxation. But they are uniquely tailored to the specific needs of expecting and new mothers. Our therapists understand the shifting anatomy, hormone changes, and physical demands of pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and adapt techniques and positioning accordingly.
For prenatal sessions, we offer a specially designed hollowed-out pillow that allows you to lie face-down in comfort during early and mid-pregnancy—if appropriate for your stage. Later in pregnancy, or whenever preferred, we use side-lying positioning with supportive pillows to take pressure off your lower back and hips.
Pregnancy can alter your center of gravity, create strain in your lower back, neck, shoulders, and hips, and loosen ligaments around your pelvis. Postpartum, the body may still be healing from delivery, adjusting to hormone shifts, and coping with new repetitive motions (like feeding, rocking, or carrying your baby). Our therapists can target these common areas of tension while creating a deeply restorative experience.

Your comfort is our top priority. Depending on your stage of pregnancy or postpartum recovery, your therapist will use adjustable positioning—either face-down with our specially designed pillow (if safe for you) or side-lying with supportive cushions. Gentle but effective massage techniques will be used, avoiding any areas or pressure points not recommended during pregnancy. Communication is encouraged throughout your session to ensure everything feels right for you.
Massage is generally safe during all stages of a healthy pregnancy. However, we recommend you consult your healthcare provider first—especially if you have any pregnancy-related complications.
Early in pregnancy, you may be able to lie face-down using our specialized pillow system. In later stages, side-lying with supportive pillows is typically more comfortable and safe.
Postnatal massage can begin as soon as your healthcare provider gives you the go-ahead. Many new mothers find it invaluable for relieving neck, shoulder, and back strain, as well as promoting relaxation during the adjustment to life with a newborn.
