THAI HAND REFLEXOLOGY

Thai hand reflexology is an exceptionally relaxing treatment that provides the recipient with the chance to unwind fully. The wonderful thing about giving a hand reflexology treatment is that it can be done virtually anywhere, from an airplane, train or car to an office, shop or home. It is a safe, natural holistic healing art that you can also use to treat yourself wherever and whenever.

Hand reflexology is empowering because whether someone suffers from irritable bowel syndrome, sinusitis, headache or needs relief from stress, it can help. It can be used as an alternative to foot reflexology in cases where someone has a foot injury, a foot or leg cast, ticklish feet, or just doesn’t want their feet worked on due to personal reasons. It also makes a good alternative for those suffering from infection, such as athlete’s foot, and for amputees.

Thai hand reflexology has a history that is thousands of years old and uses a similar technique to that of Chinese reflexology, along with a blend of Thai acupressure points, Sen energy line work and relaxing hand massage techniques. In Thai hand reflexology and massage, both Thai massage and hand reflexology methods are combined to offer the client a unique experience that benefits their health.

Thai hand massage is used to balance the body’s energy by using thumbs, hands and fingers. Much of the work focuses on the ‘Sen Kalathari energy line’ that runs through the hands along all five finger lines and the palm of the hand. Hand reflexology is used for stimulating the activity of internal organs, Sen energy lines and skeletal systems by using the hands, thumbs, fingers, cream and wooden massage stick.

Similar to meridians of Traditional Chinese Medicine that carry the Qi energy, in Thai medicine, the Sen energy lines run throughout the entire body, with specific points ending at the feet and the hands. When a Sen line becomes blocked, the energy flow becomes inactive and the body loses its balance, causing discomfort or illness to a person. Thai hand reflexology and massage can activate the energy flow again and balance the energy lines by applying pressure to them.

It is a safe, non-invasive holistic modality that can be very enjoyable and is a wonderful way to rejuvenate the mind, body and spirit.
