RAPID Neurofascial Reset (RAPID-NFR)
New Movement-Based Therapeutic Technique
RAPID neurofascial reset (RAPID-NFR) is a new soft tissue, movement-based therapeutic technique that addresses the role of the central nervous system in alleviating tension and restrictions within the muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves.
RAPID-NFR can help with:
- TMJ disorders
- Frozen shoulder
- Golfer's/tennis elbow
- Shoulder pain
- Sciatic pain
- Shin splints
- Knee problems/pain
- Bursitis and arthritic joints
Every session is a combination of examination and treatment. The RAPID provider uses his/her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of the muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Any painful and hypersensitive areas are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements.
Please bring or wear loose-fitting clothes (sweats, yoga pants, t-shirt) to your session. RAPID sessions may be uncomfortable during the movement phase of treatment. This happens as the neurological system is being stimulated to restore normal function.
Many clients choose RAPID because of its rapid response to treatment. This can help active individuals return to their activities quickly. It can also be helpful in figuring out why a certain pain may not be resolving through the use of additional assessment and treatment.
RAPID neurofascial reset is offered at our Saskatoon location by Marilyn Beatty.
